FreedomCore is operated by Acumen Desktop, based in British Columbia, Canada. These terms apply to the FreedomCore website (freedomcore.app) and any associated services.
The Service
FreedomCore provides collaboration software that connects users through encrypted peer-to-peer networks. The website provides documentation, a live network visualization demo, and access to onboarding tools.
Your Responsibilities
- Use the service lawfully and in good faith
- Do not attempt to compromise the security of the network, other users, or the infrastructure
- Do not use the platform to distribute illegal content or facilitate illegal activity
- Respect the trust model — do not misrepresent your identity
Our Responsibilities
- We operate the website and public lighthouses (Toronto, Sydney) in good faith
- We do not access, inspect, or store the content of peer-to-peer communications
- We will disclose data practices honestly in our Privacy page
- We will fix security issues promptly when reported
Infrastructure
Groups that run their own lighthouses are responsible for their own infrastructure. FreedomCore provides the software but does not manage, monitor, or have access to private lighthouses.
Intellectual Property
FreedomCore software is distributed under a vetted source model. The source code is available for inspection. Redistribution and commercial use terms are described in the Contributing page.
Availability
FreedomCore is in active development. Services may change, be interrupted, or be discontinued. We will provide reasonable notice for significant changes.
Liability
The software is provided as-is during this development phase. We make no guarantees about uptime, data preservation, or fitness for any particular purpose. Use at your own risk.
Changes
We may update these terms as the product evolves. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance.
